Manchester United’s chief operatiing officer to leave

MANCHESTER United has announced the departure chief operating officer Michael Bolingbroke.

In a short statement the club said the former Cirque du Soleil executive’s responsibilities, including stadium operations and finance, would be assumed “by current members of the management team”.
 
The 46-year-old moved to Manchester to take up the role in 2007.

Ed Woodward, executive vice chairman said: “Mike has been instrumental in the success of some major projects that we have completed since his arrival, most notably at the Aon Training Complex and in improving the matchday experience for all fans coming to Old Trafford.
“Everyone here wishes him well for the future. With the internal reorganisation undertaken last summer, we will maintain stability in vital areas of the business.”
