Bristol brief for Blue Orchid

NORTH West-based Blue Orchid is broadening its geographical reach after winning a contract to deliver business support in Bristol.

The management consultancy has secured a £270,000 contract to provide support and advice to new, young and maturing businesses and social enterprises there.
 
The company is now delivering its services to start-ups and SMEs to across the UK with bases  in Liverpool, Greater Manchester and Cheshire in its home region, but also Staffordshire, Worcestershire, Birmingham, Solihull and now Bristol.
 
Its Bristol service will be part of the £11.6m Filwood Green Business Park project, which is scheduled to open in early 2015.
 
Paul Mooney, director of Blue Orchid, said: “We are delighted to be working alongside Bristol City Council on the Filwood Green Business Park project, which is set to make a huge impact on south Bristol’s economy and local communities. Our team of advisers has already opened for business out of our new local office, just a stone’s throw from the construction site.

“As well as working with businesses wishing to locate at the new business park, we’ll also be offering support to other aspiring start-ups and small businesses across the city, with access to customised packages of free 1-to-1 support, themed workshops and business networking opportunities.”
