SRA shuts down Bury law firm

A BURY law firm has been shut down by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) which is looking into allegations of dishonesty.

Orbis Solicitors’ founder Anne Bradley has also been suspended by the SRA which means she cannot practice as a solicitor.

The SRA has seized all cases and client money and appointed Mansfield firm Shacklocks to handle the work.

In a statement the SRA said it intervened, “as there is reason to suspect dishonesty on the part of any manager or employee of a recognised body in connection with that body’s business, namely Ms Bradley”.

Anne Bradley set up Orbis in 2005 and specialised in employment, corporate and commercial, personal injury, PPI claims, and negligence claims. According to her Linkedin page she previously spent 10 years at Donns Solicitors.

The SRA said it would not comment futher unless it launches disciplinary proceedings.
