Appointments: Regenerate Pennine Lancashire; One Vision ; Napthens & more

TIM Webber, managing director of East Lancashire-based Barnfield Construction has been appointed chairman of economic development body Regenerate Pennine Lancashire.

Mr Webber succeeds Dennis Mendoros, managing director of Kelbrook based Aerospace firm Euravia, who has been chair since 2009.

He said: “I’m delighted to have the opportunity to help influence opportunities for Lancashire businesses, which will help them grow and create jobs for local people.
 
“All members of the board have a real drive to make a difference to the business landscape. The partnership between the councils and the private sector helps ensure challenges are overcome so that businesses can access support faster.”

ONE Vision Housing, part of the Merseyside-based Sovini Group, has appointed Brendan Gleeson, as development director.

He said: “This is a very exciting time to join One Vision Housing and be an integral part of their plans to generate badly-needed new housing of different tenures.

“We have already identified a number of development opportunities through local land acquisitions and Section 106 Agreements with national builders; and anticipate being able to deliver over 100 new homes each year going forward.”

He joins the Sefton-based social housing provider from Liverpool Housing Trust where he was director of development.

CHESHIRE property developer, Henderson Homes, has bolstered its senior management team with the appointment of Jonathan Hill as land director.
 
Mr Hill joins the Mere company with 18 years’ experience in residential development, gained as land and development director at Hillcrest Homes and as senior land manager at David McLean Homes.
 
Managing director Max Henderson said: “Jonathan’s experience of identifying and acquiring prime sites for desirable residential development is unparalleled. He has vision, excellent contacts and a proven track record of leading a development through purchase and planning to the build stage.”

ANDREW Holden, the head of rural at Napthens Solicitors, has been named a partner at the law firm.

Mr Holden joined the Lancashire firm in 2006, and acts solely for farmers and landowners, advising on a wide range of property and business matters.

Ian Leigh, chief executive of Napthens, said: “The rural team is a highly successful and specialised department which has seen tremendous growth in recent years.

“The team has expanded with a number of fresh faces joining us, and we have opened an office in Penrith to serve an increasing number of clients in that region.”

ALTRINCHAM law firm, Myers Lister Price Solicitors has added senior litigator, Tristan Duncan, to its dispute resolution team.

Mr Duncan previously worked for Eos Law and before that international law firm Squire Sanders.
