The Middlewich firm was appointed to deliver the £17m development by new owner Central Manchester University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and developer Citybranch.

The project is expected to be completed this winter.

Jonathan Pochin, managing director of Pochin Construction, said: “We are excited to be entering the final stages of this project. It is rewarding to know that the modern, state-of-the-art facility will benefit both patients and staff whilst encouraging further development in the town centre.”

Adam Gross, director at Citybranch, said: “The project promises to deliver a vital boost to both healthcare delivery and property development in Trafford, and we’re pleased that so many members of the community showed interest and came out in support of the development. We’re looking forward to the final result and the multitude of services it will offer Altrincham.”
