Specialist law firm Fletchers expands
A NORTH West law firm which specialises in complex and high value medical negligence and personal injury work has expanded after a record year.
Staff numbers at Fletchers Solicitors have more than doubled in the last year from from 108 to 220 and it has taken a further 9,000 sq ft at Dukes House, Hoghton Street, Southport, where it now occupies 18,000 sq ft. Turnover in the year to April 2013 rose 27% to £9.5m.
Fletchers now handles one in 10 medical negligence cases in the UK, and has recently undertaken a recruitment drive to hire further staff.
Chief executive Ed Fletcher said: “We are in a tremendous growth period at the moment, which has seen both a number of new appointments and a significant increase in the number of medical negligence cases we are handling.
“This larger dedicated office will provide clients who have suffered negligent care with one place they can turn to for all of their legal needs.”
The new office space includes three additional meeting rooms and a training room to further support staff development. The expansion has allowws Fletchers Solicitors’ sister company, Ultimate Costs, a legal costs drafting firm, to move into the same building.
