Amey signs up to 65,000 sq ft at Matchworks

URBAN Splash has secured a major letting with infrastructure support group Amey which has taken 65,000 sq ft at its Matchworks scheme in Garston, Liverpool.

The Manchester-based landlord and developer said the deal represented a third of total take-up in Liverpool last year.

Amey is already a tenant at the site but has added an extra 16,000 sq ft and signed a new lease.

Head of asset management at Urban Splash said: “To retain a tenant of this size and calibre is testament to our offering as a landlord and I am delighted to accommodate Amey’s revised requirements with the additional space.

“Deals like these help the Matchworks continue to prove itself as one of the most pioneering commercial developments in the Merseyside region. This letting surpasses many in the region this year and is equivalent to approximately one third of the entire take up of all of the suburban regions in 2013 combined.
