Offices firm Grade A Alternative buys St George’s House

MANCHESTER-based property company Grade A Alternative is the new owner of St George’s House on Peter Street.

It acquired the asset in June from a company owned by recruitment company boss Ged Mason, and has since undertaken a major refurbishment.

St George’s House, which is opposite The Midland Hotel and is on the site of the infamous Peterloo Massacre in 1819.

Grade A, which also owns The Boardwalk on Little Peter Street, The Mission near Spinningfields and Parsonage Chambers, is owned by Richard and Linzi Parkinson, and offers flexible office space to businesses which have out-grown serviced space.

St George’s House is Grade II listed and offers more than 50,000 sq ft of floor space over seven floors.

Richard Parkinson, said: “We are really excited to have acquired St George’s House. The building is rich in character and history, just what we look for in all of our buildings.

“We have completely renovated the building throughout to bring it in line with modern businesses requirement. Like all Grade A buildings St George’s will offer growing businesses the chance to move away from serviced office space. Businesses will be able to inject their own personality into the office space to match their requirements.”
