IoD searches for new chair as Attard bows out

THE Institute of Directors (IoD) is looking for a new regional chair for the North West.

Tony Attard, chief executive of Burnley textiles firm Panaz, is approaching the end of his term after four years.

The IoD is looking for someone to lead the regional committee, which helps drive policy.

The IoD said the new chair will be expected to promote the profile of the organisation by engaging with local businesses and bodies such as the local enterprise partnerships (LEPs).

It added: “The ideal candidate does not need to be a member but should have experience of working in a senior role in a major wealth creating company, will live in and be knowledgeable about the region and be able to commit a fair but reasonable amount of time to the role.”
