PEEL Logistics has appointed Cushman & Wakefield as joint letting agents on its Knowsley 700 scheme in Liverpool.  

The 45-acre brownfield site at Knowsley Business Park will offer design and build units over 700,000 sq ft. The site is close to the M57,

Knowsley Rail Freight Terminal and the Port of Liverpool.  

Jason Print of Cushman & Wakefield said: “The strategic location of this site in a proven distribution area with excellent communication links

and an 8Mva (mega volt amperes) power supply means that it is well placed to satisfy both logistics and manufacturer’s demand from local,

regional and national occupiers.”

Jones Lang LaSalle is the joint letting agent.

INVESTMENT consultant Adimus has taken 2,500 sq ft at 196 Deansgate in Manchester city centre.

It has relocated from Quay House in Peter Street which is being demolished to make way for the final office block at Spinningfields.

196 Deansgate was acquired by Commercial Estates Group in 2010. Occupiers included PR firm City Press, marketing business Madhouse and A2A

Engineering. Quoting rents are £17/sq ft.

CEG plans to refurbish the first and second floors to provide a further 18,000 sq ft. Joint letting agents are WHR and Edwards & Co.

James Preston of WHR said: “Demand for good quality office accommodation is continuing to rise at a steady pace and availability of existing

stock is rapidly diminishing. The quality of the product on offer at 196 Deansgate in conjunction with the Deansgate and Spinningfields

location is proving popular with occupiers and we anticipate strong interest in the remaining space.”

COMMERCIAL agent GVA has picked up a double appointment by the Homes and Communities Agency (HCA) to manage and let 60,000 sq ft of commercial space at Royal Mills in Ancoats.

The estate comprises of six buildings which also have 320 apartments.

At present 27,000 sq ft of office space is free and a further 6,500 sq ft of leisure and retail is available.

LANDLORD Bruntwood has secured new lettings at Booths Park in Knutsford.

Cash management technology specialist Glory Global Solutions has taken 5,600 sq ft to accommodate 30 staff relocated from the Parkgate Industrial Estate in Knutsford.

The firm’s Gregor Dobbie said: “Having been based in Knutsford for six years we were keen to remain but wanted to offer a better working environment for our staff and visiting customers. Booths Park has proved to be the perfect solution with stunning parkland and on-site amenities.”

The move follows the arrival of marine engineering services group James Fisher in March and wealth advisors Towry in April. The park is now fully let and Bruntwood has secured outline planning to add an additional 191,834 sq ft of office space.
