BCL Legal in Deansgate property deal

LEGAL recruitment firm BCL Legal has acquired the long leasehold on 13,500 sq ft at 77 Deansgate in Manchester.

It will use 7,308 sq ft on the third floor and let out the rest of the space.

The company employs 45 people at its new Manchester headquarters after moving from the Lexicon Building in Mount Street. It also has offices in London, Birmingham, Leeds, Liverpool and Reading.

Managing director James Batt said: “We are thrilled with our new office; it’s in a great central location that allows the business to be easily accessible. It was important for us to secure a long term base from which to drive growth and to create an office environment that was attractive for both our clients and employees.”

OBI advised the firm on the deal and also managed the fir-out. It will handle the letting of the extra space. Legal advice was provided by Thomas Pearson of JMW Solicitors.

The vendor was Preston-based Maple Grove, a subsidiary of the Preston-based Eric Wright Group.
