Character World launches new high-end range

CHEADLE-based branded bedding specialist Character World has launched a new premium division called Kip & Sew.

Its first collection is a high-end Disney range which features a pashmina, scarf, blanket and cushion, in cashmere and a blend of lambs wool and angora.

All the products have been made in the UK by Begg & Co in Ayr.

Creative director Karen Creed-Stephenson said: “This collaboration with Disney marks our first foray into the premium market and we’re delighted to count Kip & Sew amongst the creative brands that have been inspired by the pop culture icon, Mickey Mouse.”

Priced from £165 to £499, the products are available through the Kip & Sew website, and should be in stores before Christmas.

The investment in the new brand comes on the back of a record 2013 for the Cheadle-based business, which is led by brothers Danny and Mark Schweiger.
