Pets at Home said 39% of its stores now have Groom Rooms, up from 29% , while 47% now have an in-store vet, versus 36% a year ago. This drove revenues from pet services by 27% to £33.2m.

Chief executive Nick Wood said: “We are very pleased with the strong like-for-like growth of 4.2% in the first half of our financial year. Our VIP Club continues to be a strong contributor to this growth, alongside both our new and existing veterinary practices and Groom Room salons.”
