Dealmaker Parker to leave PwC

ANDY Parker, the North West head of corporate finance at accountancy group PwC, is leaving in January.

The firm said Mr Parker is moving back to Northamptonshire to spend more time with his family who have stayed there since he joined the Manchester office five years ago from the Midlands.

Mr Parker has been with PwC for 18 years. He heads a team which includes directors Dan Gallagher and Wendy Mason, and he reports to Leeds-based Stuart Warriner, the M&A leader in the North.

In a statement Mr Parker said: “I have had a fantastic 18 years with PwC over which time I have had the privilege to work with leading businesses in the Midlands, and more recently the North West.

“I look forward to a new challenge and leave a corporate finance team which is respected by its clients and colleagues, so I am confident that it will continue to grow and build upon its successes.”

Iwan Griffiths, PwC’s North West chairman, said: “We would like to thank Andy for his hard work and dedication over the last five years in the region, and we wish him all the best back in the Midlands. Andy has left the team in great shape and I am keen that we build on this platform to broaden and deepen our relationships.”

PwC’s deal team in the North West has worked on a number of deals over the summer including: ISIS Equity’s £45m buy-out of Metronet, NorthEdge’s £66m investment in Accrol Papers and PZ Cusson’s acquisition of Australian yogurt brand, Five:am, in August.
