Amazon signs up to PAG scheme

RETAIL giant Amazon has signed up for Property Alliance Group’s 90,000 sq ft Kingsland Grange site near Warrington.

It is understood to have taken the former Marks & Spencer warehouse next to junction 21 of the M6 to give it additional capacity over the Christmas period.

Manchester-based PAG has an application in with Warrington Council to extend the unit to 123,000 sq ft.

Amazon is believed to have signed a 12-month rolling lease and is still looking for a much larger permanent base in the region of around 1m sq ft.
