Spinningfields beefs up with Fazenda opening

Fazenda Manchester

FAZENDA, the South American dining concept with restaurants in Leeds and Liverpool has opened in Manchester’s Spinningfields.

Fazenda’s parent company, City District Group has invested £2m in the 1,800 sq ft restaurant on The Avenue which specialises in freshly-grilled joints of meats, ‘churrascaria’-style carved from joints at the table.

Employing 60 staff, it will be able to seat 178 covers and a further 44 in an outside area.

Fazenda offers 15 different cuts of beef, chicken, lamb and pork, while a salad bar has sushi, smoked salmon, cured meats, hot dishes and traditional Brazilian dishes.

General Manager Tomas Maunier said: “At Fazenda we are keeping the tradition of the Gaucho alive, slowly grilling large pieces of meat in the way it has been done for centuries.

“With our authentic South American background, we offer a unique Gaucho-style dining experience at the highest level. The response so far in Manchester has been fantastic, and we look forward to repeating the success we have enjoyed in other Northern cities.”

The first Fazenda opened three years ago at Granary Wharf, Leeds. Exchange Flags, Liverpool was launched in December 2013.
