Zeus Capital hits £1bn fundraising milestone

THE planned flotation of Quantum Pharma has taken the value of equity raised for clients by Manchester adviser Zeus Capital to more than £1bn this year.

The company, based in King Street, has ridden a wave of stock market flotations.

These included the listing by online fashion retailer Boohoo.com, which raised £300m, and the £200m float of logistics company DX Group.

Quantum Pharma, a County Durham-based drug manufacturer, plans to raise £106.1m.

A team at Zeus, including directors of corporate finance Nick Cowles and Andrew Jones, and assistant director Jamie Peel, acted as nominated advisor (NOMAD) and broker to Quantum.

Mr Cowles said: “In terms of the £1bn it’s an incredible achievement which we look forward to building on in 2015. Quantum Pharma is a company with an excellent management team, a solid and highly profitable core business and a very exciting growth strategy, making it ideal for the public markets. The level of interest from institutional investors has been excellent and Quantum will be the largest pharma company to list on the AIM market in 2014.”
