Miers on the move

BUILDING accessories group Miers Construction Products is moving its North West base from Newton-le-Willows to Warrington.

It has taken a 19,500 sq ft industrial unit on a four-year lease at Langtree’s Warrington Central Trading Estate.

The group currently operates from a unit at Sankey Valley Industrial Estate in Junction Lane.

Director Tim Nicholson said: “We needed additional space to ensure that we were able to continue to provide the very best service to our customers. We needed an easily accessible location which also gave us great accommodation. Fortunately, we were able to find everything we needed at Warrington Central and it’s great to be part of the town’s business community.

“The construction sector is often thought of as a barometer of economic health and there’s no doubt that the current situation is better now than it has been for a number of years. Our investment in our new home is a sign of our commitment to the region and our belief in its continued prosperity.”

Langtree’s property manager, Kathryn Smart said: “We have seen a number of significant moves in the construction sector in recent months which bodes well for them, us and the economy as a whole.”
