Assure Law completes another deal
LEGAL consultant Assure Law has acquired a majority stake in HighStreetLawyer.com, the network of small law firms, in an undisclosed deal.
Earlier this year Assure rescued Manchester law firm Linder Myers in a deal which saw it invest capital and agree a debt restructuring package with creditors.
It has also acquired Lawyers2You which was previously owned by failed Birmingham firm Blakemores.
Tony Stockdale, chairman at Assure Law, said: “We have noticed a growing need for small law firms to receive appropriate support from their regulators, their advisers and from each other. Small law firms are the backbone of the legal profession and we look forward to building a strong network with HighStreetLawyer.”
