Lender banks on Styles & Wood for refurbs

PROPERTY services group Styles & Wood has been appointed to manage and deliver a cash machines and branch improvement programme for a major high street bank.

The projects, with an un-named lender, will be worth around £18m to the south Manchester company. They include the replacement or upgrading of approximately 4,700 ATMs across 3,000 locations, as well as rebranding 600 branches across the UK and overseas.

The project will involve teams from across Styles & Wood’s projects, design, technology and energy divisions.

Shares in the AIM company rose 4% to 91.25p on the news.

Its business change operation will oversee the project, including providing training for the bank’s employees to familiarise them with the new technology being implemented.

Tony Lenehan, chief executive of Styles & Wood, said: “This programme is a significant endorsement of that strategy and an excellent opportunity to demonstrate how our integrated approach can support our client’s objectives.

“We have formed a joint management team with the client to deliver a significantly enhanced customer experience. This collaborative approach has enabled an immediate and efficient start to the work which will further build value into the process through thorough forward planning and easy communication.”
