Jobs market pick up sparks record year for Axon Resourcing

AXON Resourcing, the Warrington-based recruitment firm, surged past the £10m turnover milestone as revenues grew 22% to £10.5m in 2014.

The company, which specialises in permanent and temporary finance, IT and HR staff and has offices in Wolverhampton and Derbyshire, said it had finished 2014 on a high with revenues in the fourth quarter rocketing 47%.

It said its success was being fuelled by a growth in demand for interim contractors and an increase in the number of permanent senior and executive recruitment briefs in both the private and public sector in the North and Midlands.

Managing director and founder Andy Edwards said: “2014 was a great year for our business. We have experienced growth in all areas but in particular we have seen a significant increase in the amount of six-figure retained assignments we have been instructed on, and a growing appetite to appoint more generally at the executive level.

“The people that make up Axon Resourcing have made the business stronger than ever and we are extremely confident of another year of substantial growth in 2015.”

Axon’s clients include Shop Direct, Boots, Sainsbury’s, Gala Coral and several NHS trusts.
