City look to boost Nike deal as profile soars
MANCHESTER City are set to open negotiations talks with sportswear giant Nike with a view to extending and enhancing its existing kit deal.
The Premier League champions are halfway through a six-year contract worth about £12m a year, which was agreed in May 2012.
Since then, City have won the Barclays Premier League title twice, become a regular participant in the Champions League, and built its international profile with the launch or acquisition of sister clubs in the US, Australia and Japan.
