RIBA out to repeat Stirling work

RIBA North West has issued a call for entries to its Awards in a bid to follow the success which saw Liverpool’s Everyman Theatre with the Stirling Prize in 2014.

The Awards are open to projects completed after January 2013 by an RIBA chartered architect.

A new gong for Project Architect of the Year, which recognises an individual’s contribution to an award-winning project, has also been added.

Last year Liverpool’s Everyman and Haworth Tompkins walked away with the prestigious RIBA Stirling Prize, and Manchester Metropolitan University collecting the RIBA Client of the Year for its project, Manchester School of Art.

Director at RIBA North West, Andrew Ruffler, said: “The RIBA Awards represents a fantastic way for architects and clients to get recognition for the quality of their work.

“With a successful 2014 now behind us, I look forward to seeing what projects will be entered this year, and would love to see more small projects come to the fore”.
