Murray adds Bunzl to NED porfolio

CHESHIRE businesswoman Vanda Murray has expanded her portfolio career, joining FTSE 100 distribution and outsourcing company Bunzl as a non-executive director.

She will take up her position on February 1. She is currently a non-executive director of Manchester Airport Holdings, Exova Group, Chemring Group,  Microgenc, where she is chair of the remuneration committee, and Fenner  where she is the senior independent director.

Mrs Murray is a former chair of Business Link in the region and was previously chief executive of Blick from 2001 to 2004 and subsequently the UK managing director of Lancashire conservatory maker Ultraframe from 2004 to 2006.

She was appointed OBE in 2002 for services to industry and to export.

Philip Rogerson, chairman of Bunzl, said: “I am delighted that Vanda has agreed to join the board. She has over 20 years of senior management experience across a range of industrial, manufacturing and support services sectors in Europe, the US and Asia which will be of great value to Bunzl as we continue to expand and develop.”

Bunzl, based in London, has operations worldwide and annual sales of more than £6bn.
