Tecmark seals VC deal for growth

DIGITAL marketing agency Tecmark has boosted its regional growth plans after securing a funding deal.

The Manchester company will use the “several hundred thousand pound” venture capital investment from The North West Fund for Digital & Creative to launch new services and develop its recently-opened Liverpool office.

The agency, which counts the likes of insurer Saga and holiday brand Travelbag among its clients, has also strengthened its management team with the appointment of Rob Weatherhead from MediaCom as operations director and the promotion of Stacey MacNaught to search director.

Tecmark was founded in 2008 by Richard Heyes and Kevin Jones. Heyes said: “The additional funding will facilitate our ambitious growth plans both in Manchester and Liverpool.

“We’ll be continuing to invest in technology and tools for marketing teams, we have recently launched our content marketing training academy and we will continue to bolster our service delivery teams and offerings. It’s an incredibly exciting time for us.”

Rupert Wingate-Saul, investment manager at AXM Venture Capital, which manages The North West Fund for Digital & Creative, said: “Our funding will support Tecmark’s growth in terms of geographical expansion, reinforcing its Liverpool presence, and in developing its own unique technology platform.

“We have great confidence in this management team based on their success to date in building a seven figure revenue business with a market-leading expertise in digital marketing.”
