Innov8 targets £1m after year of growth

CONSTRUCTION consultancy Innov8 is toasting a record year of growth on the back of project wins in the region and beyond.

The Birkenhead-based firm has seen revenues and staff numbers jump 50% in the last 12 months and it is now targeting hitting £1m.

Innov8 offers its clients construction design management and site safety advice.

Managing director Alan Robson said 2014 turnover had risen to £700,000, from around £440,000 the year before.

Growth was driven by winning business in Merseyside, Manchester, Leeds, London and Edinburgh. The firm has secured new contracts in the commercial, healthcare, maritime and education sectors.

Robson said: “Innov8 has recorded strong and sustainable growth over the last seven years. However, our ambition to expand beyond the North West region and roll-out services nationally has greatly helped to drive turnover in the last year.

“We have doubled our team of specialists after recruiting six additional full-time employees and an office apprentice. It is fundamental to our brand and company ethos that we boost skills locally and are looking to further expand our apprenticeship programme which was launched last year.”

Recent projects include healthcare work in Northumberland, Liverpool, Chester and London. Residential contracts have been secured with Liverpool-based Riverside Group and Great Places in Blackpool.

Looking forward, Robson said: “We are now keen to capitalise on this progress and are launching an ambitious three-year growth strategy to take turnover past the £1m barrier.”
