Liverpool ONE on the up

GROSVENOR has announced a 15% increase in year-to-date sales at retail centre Liverpool ONE compared to the same period in 2014.

The company is hailing the impact of the addition of 22 new brands at the centre with footfall also climbing by 4% last year.

Sales across key categories of clothing, accessories and jewellery were up by 20%, reflecting the effect of new additions, including Michael Kors, which opened its first store in the North West on Liverpool ONE’s Peter’s Lane in October, and Zara, which launched its new 27,000sq ft regional flagship at the same time.

Other contributors include new stores from Radley and Cath Kidston.

Director of portfolio management at Grosvenor, Miles Dunnett, said: “Liverpool ONE’S performance in the first quarter of the year continue the momentum set in 2014.

“The most recent additions to our offer are clearly delivering what the North West wants, which also coincides with a growth in consumer confidence in the region.”
