Legal News: Pannone Corporate’s regulatory move & more

MANCHESTER firm Pannone Corporate has launched a regulatory and compliance practice as it expands its range of services 12 months after flying solo after Slater & Gordon’s swoop for the majority of the former Pannone practice.

It has appointed Tristan Meears-White as a partner to head the new team.  Meears-White  joins from DWF where he was a partner.

He advises on a range of regulatory and compliance issues including anti-trust, competition, bribery and corruption, health and safety and environmental law across a number of sectors including construction, oil and gas, retail, food, manufacturing, energy and transport.

PAUL Crowley and Co Solicitors, the Liverpool firm,  has appointed Rebecca Fan as head of commercial property.

After graduating from the University of Liverpool, she joined Mace & Jones Solicitors and went on to work for firms including EAD, Frodshams and Countrywide.

Fan joins the team at Paul Crowley and Co following the firm’s recent move into its city centre office and the launch of its commercial department, PCSLaw.

She said: “During my interview, I could sense the passion and ambition of the senior management team to maximise the firm’s expansion to the city centre.  For me, the firm’s accreditations in Lexcel and Investors in People also reinforced the firm’s excellence in legal practice management and employee relations.”

STEPHENSONS has appointed solicitor David Evans to its industrial disease department.

Evans has some 20 years’ experience in dealing with serious industrial diseases, as well as clinical negligence and personal injury cases.

Previously he spent 13 years with a trade union firm, focusing on industrial diseases, personal injury cases and accidents at work.
