Appointments: UKFast JRW; Adept4 & more

UKFAST, the data centres operator based in Manchester, has made a second senior appointment in three weeks.

It has recruited Michael Hogan as finance director. Hogan was previously chief financial officer at Fasthosts and Livedrive, another tech business, and returns to Manchester where he trained as an accountant with KPMG.

He said: “UKFast is an industry leader with some serious growth potential. During my time at Fasthosts they were always the innovator in the market and their customer service was a cut above the rest. It’s this formidable reputation for customer focus that attracted me to UKFast.”

Chief executive Lawrence Jones said: “Hogan adds significant fire power to the UKFast board. He has a wealth of experience working with recurring revenue business models and I am excited about the improvements he can make.”

UKFast recently hired corporate lawyer Nicola Frost as its head of legal.

SPORTS  insurance specialist, The JRW Group has appointed a new marketing team which will be led by Sarah Jones who joins from Optionis Group.  

Jones brings with her a wealth of experience in insurance having held roles at The Warranty Group and Ace European Group.  

Marketing manager, Lisa Meadows, has joined the south Manchester-based firm from the Priory Group where she was head of direct marketing.  She began her career at AstraZeneca before several years at Optionis.

And new marketing executive, Rachael Kinsella also joins from the Priory Group, where she managed marketing campaigns for Priory Healthcare, Priory Education and Craegmoor brands.  

Managing director John Woosey said: “We’ve ambitious plans for The JRW Group to grow both our existing niche insurance brands and launch new ones.  Sarah and her team will be key to opening different markets, building our brands and achieving our overall targets as we take the business forward into new sectors.”

VICKY Pemberton, a client engagement specialist with over 19 years’ experience in telecoms, has joined IT services company, adept4.

Pemberton has joined the Daresbury business from ICT solution provider, GCI, where she was part of the senior management team.

Peter Birkett, adept4’s  CEO, said: “Vicky is a highly skilled, incredibly impressive operator.  Although she has only been with us for a matter of weeks, we are already feeling the positive impact of her knowledge on the business’ client-side operations.”

ANALYTICS and social media conference, SAScon has appointed digital specialist Rob Weatherhead to its committee.

Weatherhead, who is the operations director for SEO and digital content specialist Tecmark, will be responsible for organising the event taking place on 11th and 12th June at Manchester Metropolitan Business School.
