Appointments: Davenham Asset Finance; AeroParker; Liverpool Waters;

MANCHESTER-based Davenham Asset Finance and Davenham Trade Finance are pressing ahead with major growth plans by appointing Richard Bamford as non-executive chairman to both businesses.

This is hot on the heels of the recent appointment of two new Business Development Managers to open up opportunities for a national sales team.

Best known as the founding chairman of Enterprise Ventures, the North west based venture capital management business, Bamford has recently worked as an independent adviser to SMEs, and has been now snapped up by Davenham to steer both companies to growth. He is a well-known entrepreneur and financier, particularly across the Northwest region.

Paul Burke, chief executive of Davenham, said: “Recognising a market opportunity and SME demand for finance, we started Davenham last year, and have since established ourselves firmly in the market, having already written significant business.

“2014 has been a sensational year for Davenham, and following our appointment of Richard as a proven business builder to join the Board, we are confident that we will deliver on our growth objectives.”
