Bentley expands in Switzerland

LUXURY car maker Bentley has opened a  new dealership in Switzerland, its fifth there.

Located in the town of Cham, which is in the economic corridor between Zurich and Lucerne, the dealership is a partnership between Bentley and the AMAG Group.

Covering an area of 400 sq metres, the manufacturer says the facility at Zug  “presents a uniquely British feel” and is executed with Bentley’s signature craftsmanship and painstaking attention to detail.

Roberto Battistini, general manager, said: “To sell and service a Bentley is a huge privilege. We are delighted to be able to receive our customers in this exclusive surrounding.”

This latest addition takes the number of Bentley dealerships in Switzerland to five (Basel, Zurich, Zug, Geneva and Lugano) with a further four service centres available to customers in Bern, Gstaad, St. Gallen and Lausanne. In total, Continental Europe now has nearly 50 sales sites, the second largest network region for Bentley.

Robert Engstler, regional director Bentley Europe, comments: “Switzerland is the third largest market in Europe for the Bentley brand. The opening of the new dealership in Zug is yet another milestone in our long-term commitment and investment in the region.”

Meanwhile, Crewe-based Bentley is showcasing its new concept car, the  EXP 10 Speed 6 in China at 2015 Auto Shanghai.

Wolfgang Dürheimer, chairman and chief executive of Bentley Motors, said: “Following on from its global debut last month in Geneva where it was the star of the show, the EXP 10 Speed 6 is now here in China, our second biggest market, to share our vision for Bentley’s future.

“This concept showcases modern automotive design, highly skilled British handcrafting, the finest materials and advanced performance technology. This is not just a sports car concept, this is a Bentley sports car concept – a bold vision for a brand with a bold future.”
