Clean engine developer celebrates £250,000 order win

NATURAL gas engine specialist Clean Air Power has won an order worth about £250,000.

It is for high pressure coalescing filters from a US-based supplier of compressed natural gas (CNG) fuel storage systems. The order will run over 12 months from June.

The AIM listed company which specialises in combustion technology for heavy duty vehicles has also announced it will be exhibiting its Genesis-EDGE dual fuel system at the Alternative Clean Transportation (ACT) Expo 2015 in Dallas which runs from May 4 to 7.

The Genesis-EDGE SYSTEM is the only dual fuel system in the US to have achieved full certification from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Californian Air Resources Board (CARB) and the ACT Expo is the largest exhibition for clean fuel transportation fleets in North America.

CAP will be supported at the ACT Exp by Bruckner’s, its distribution partner for the South West region of the US.

Chief executive John Pettitt said: “This order demonstrates the continuing value our components division brings to our customers in the supply of specialised components for the natural gas industry and it confirms the growth we are seeing in CNG as a road fuel in North America.

“I am also delighted that Bruckner’s will be supporting us at the ACT Expo 2015 in Dallas.  This will be a major showcase for our Genesis-EDGE system and an opportunity for us to demonstrate our competitive advantage by having the only EPA and CARB fully-certified Dual-FuelTM system in the US.”
