Law firm eyes further expansion after funding

LIVERPOOL law frim SGI Legal has embarked on a growth plan after securing a seven-figure funding deal.

SGI, which focuses on the personal injury sector, has grown rapidly since its launch in 2012 into a £7m turnover company employing 80 staff.

It has secured funding from NatWest and is aiming to increase case volume by 25% during the next year.

SGI partner Simon Shaw said: ““The sector has changed quite a bit over the last couple of years, and as a business, we have focused on improving our efficiency so we can offer a better service to clients and open up new opportunities.

“In addition we have a profit focussed financial model. Our ability to understand and project profit per case, per fee earner and per square foot of our office space has been viewed as fundamental from the outset.”

Funding facilities were obtained by NatWest relationship director Andrea Kelly.
“I was delighted to support SGI Legal as it embarks on its ambitious growth plans,” she said. “The firm’s management team have created an efficient business model and I wish them every success for the future.”
