New comparison site for SME finance takes off

A group former managers from price comparison site MoneySupermarket have launched a new website dedicated to providing businesses with a comprehensive way of comparing finance options.

BusinessComparison.com has been launched from headquarters in Chester city centre and offers SMEs alternative funding options.

Former Moneysupermarket men Daniel Ashton, Tim Moss, Philip Brennan, Chris Sumner and Adair Cameron from GoCompare along with Kerry O’Donnell, Alexander Kosuth-Philips, Matthew Cooper and Gary Solomon are running the new organisation.

Philip Brennan said: “Gaining initial funding for a business venture or accessing additional finance for expansion is a key issue that’s holding back the growth of the UK economy.

“While individuals are more than catered for, it was clear that there was a real gap in the market for an online platform which businesses could turn to for financial options outside of their bank.

“We’ve completed extensive research and testing to ensure the website is as user-friendly as possible, and our focus is on providing an online tool that allows a quick and easy comparison of everything needed to run a business smoothly.”

He said the venture was already looking to expand into additional markets such as energy and insurance.
