Sofaworks faces legal threat

NORTH West furniture retailer Sofaworks is facing possible legal action from competitor DFS in an intellectual property dispute.

The Wigan company, which recently sealed a £5m funding deal , was called CSL until 2013. It is the use of "sofaworks" that has sparked the complaint from the listed Yorkshire business.

A spokesperson for Doncaster-based DFS told TheBusinessDesk.com: "We can confirm that The Sofa Workshop has a trade mark dispute with Sofaworks.
