Appointments: DLA Piper promotes; partner moves at Hill Dicks & IM & more

DLA Piper has made seven non-partner promotions across its North West offices, following the announcement that Joe Frew in the finance and projects team was promoted to partner last week.

The newly promoted senior associates include Phebe Hemmings, Jennifer Lee and Christopher Wilson, corporate; Naomi Clarkson and George Nicholson, employment; Christopher Lister, finance and projects, and Gary Davies, pensions.

EUAN Kellie Property Solutions in Manchester has announced Caroline McIntyre has joined the company as a consultant planner.

McIntyre joins the planning firm with more than 13 years’ experience, 10 of those at a leading London planning consultancy where she was made a director in 2013.

She recently back to the North and has joined Euan Kellie and Kelly Paddick to assist with their growing client work.

Kellie said: “I have no doubt Caroline will be a fantastic asset, not only to us but to our clients.  Her experience in working on large, high profile, nationally significant projects will be invaluable as we look to grow our business.”

LAW firm Hill Dickinson has strengthened its property team with a senior appointment at its Manchester office.
 
Joining as a commercial property partner from Pinsent Masons, Jim Purves, has extensive experience in logistics, industrial and retail property.

He has advised clients such as John Lewis, Lookers Plc, Balfour Beatty and DHL for whom Purves advised in relation to the property aspects of its £1.6 bn contract to run the NHS Supply Chain and also the transfer of properties in the sale of their domestic parcel business to Home Delivery Network.

MANCHESTER law firm Irwin Mitchell has appointed DWF’s North West head of pensions Andrew Ashley Taylor as it continues to invest in building its business legal services (BLS) team.
 
Joining as partner, Taylor has more than 30 years of pensions law experience and specialises in advising employers, professional trustees and not-for-profit organisations on the full range of pension issues. These include dispute resolution, mergers, restructuring, regulatory matters and debt management.
 
He works for clients across the UK and overseas and is a qualified mediator, a member of the Pensions Management Institute, the Association of Pension Lawyers and the Charity Law Association. He is also a former chairman of the North West Pensions Management Institute.

MANCHESTER-based digital marketing recruitment agency Forward Role, has made three key hires.

Dominic Scales has been taken on as a senior digital consultant and comes from a varied background of events marketing and sports account management with impressive clients such as Nike and NHS sales under his belt.

Alison Hart has secured a position as marketing manager, having worked in a variety of marketing roles for a host of major brands, including Siemens and Bank of America. She has also worked on a freelance basis to provide vital support for SMEs.

Adam Miller will be taken on as junior digital consultant and has a background in digital reputation management.

CHESHIRE screws and fixings supplier TIMco has appointed Tracy Haynes as regional account manager and Richard Cole as the new quality control assistant and safety officer, taking the number of employees in the company up to 86.

LINDER Myers Solicitors has strengthened its medical negligence team with the appointment of two solicitors and a paralegal in Manchester.

Rebecca Wilson joins the firm from Stephensons Solicitors, Georgina Tither has been appointed from Express Solicitors and, joining as a paralegal, Sinead McCracken completes the trio of recent recruits joining from Thompsons Solicitors.

OBI Property in Manchester has welcomed Andrew Crompton to its workplace consultancy team as a senior designer.

He will work with James Scott who leads the team along with Anna Lysik.

Crompton has a wide range of experience in interior design and architecture and joins OBI Property from Overbury Plc, where he was an interior project designer. Prior to that he worked at Aedas Architects in Manchester for seven years.

Crompton said: “I am thrilled to be joining OBI Property, it’s a growing company and a young team working on some very exciting fit out and design projects.  I have already got involved in some great projects where we are delivering inspirational workspace for our clients.”
