£170m upgrade to water treatment plant
A £170m modernisation programme is planned for Davyhulme Wastewater Treatment Plant - the largest of its kind in the North West.
Salford-based contractor PP O'Connor has been appointed by Celtic Technologies to carry out the bulk of the earthworks.
The site, west of junction 10 of the M60 motorway at Trafford, Macnhester, serves a population of more than a million people.
