Appointments: Preston’s College; Citypress & more

PRESTON’S College has appointed a new operations manager to coordinate its iSTEM teaching provision in preparation for the opening of its new £13m iSTEM Centre in September.
 
Former Preston’s College student, Rebecca Kay, from Ashton-on-Ribble, has a wealth of iSTEM (Innovation and STEM) experience, built up over a five-year career with the further education provider as an advanced skills technician for science and work-based assessor.
 
As iSTEM operations manager, the 26-year-old will be responsible for ensuring high-quality teaching is delivered consistently across the curriculum in both traditional and non-traditional iSTEM subjects – ensuring Preston’s College delivers skilled, work-ready learners.

CITYPRESS has appointed online journalist Mark Spence to lead its content marketing practice.
 
Mark joins Citypress from Mirror.co.uk where, as head of content, he led a 15-strong team of journalists responsible for sourcing, curating and producing engaging and original digital content.
 
In his new role, Mark will lead Citypress’ expanding creative services team of copywriters, visual content, search and social media specialists.

Prior to his role at Mirror.co.uk, he was based in the United Arab Emirates where he was deputy editor at Time Out Abu Dhabi.
 
That followed his role as associate editor at IPC media in London, creating content for its men’s lifestyle titles.
 
The appointment follows significant client wins in the last six months including British Land Plc, Swinton Insurance, and Coca-Cola GB.

THE Cheshire and Warrington Local Enterprise Partnership has announced the appointment of Clare Hayward and Robert Mee to its Board.

Hayward is a Partner at Cirrus, the Macclesfield based international business consultancy, and a former chair of ‘Make it Macclesfield’.

Mee helped to put together a private led regeneration board for Ellesmere Port, which he currently chairs, and has a great deal of business experience drawn from his 40 year career in banking and financial services.  As a Council Member of the North of England Zoological Society, which operates Chester Zoo.
