Overbury ‘does numero one job’

SPECIALIST software and customer management company numero is now open for business at its new 12,000sq ft headquarters in Stockport, following the completion of a £250,000 refurbishment project by Overbury.

Having previously rented commercial premises on Wellington Street, numero has relocated its 75 staff into a hi-tech workspace at Kingfisher Court on Yew Street.

Fit out and refurbishment company Overbury, which has offices in Manchester, London,  Birmingham, Bracknell and Leeds completed the project in less than eight weeks.

The team redesigned the building utilisation to include a variety of new spaces for numero’s employees to innovate, collaborate, work more effectively and take time out.

The new office also features a fresh reception area, client demonstration suites and an executive touchdown zone. Technical works incorporated the installation of bespoke joinery items, glazed partitions, as well as upgrades to the media and M&E systems.

Philip Westwood, a director for Overbury in the North said: “The brief from numero was clear, we had to deliver a comprehensive refurbishment and fit out of the existing building as well as ensuring that the project future-proofed the space from corporate growth and technological developments.

Guy Colclough, chief executive at numero said: “This project was much more than just an exercise in relocating the business. We saw the move as a chance for us to reconnect with our staff and reinstate our ‘can do’ attitude.”

“We had outgrown our previous building and the company had become highly fragmented and constrained by space. Our treatment of clients was lacking for a hi-tech company specialising in customer engagement solutions, plus, we wanted to excite and thrill our most valuable resource and asset – our staff.”
