Law firm takes 40,00sq ft at Arndale House

INTERNATIONALlaw firm Feshfields Bruckhause Deringer has secured 40,000sq ft at Arndale House in Manchester.

The deal, confirmed by M&G Real Estate and intu, is seen as a sign of Manchester’s growing regional dominance and strengthening offices sector, with the law firm taking space on four floors of the property to open a shared legal and business services centre.

The Arndale House office is expected to open in summer.

The building, at the heart of Manchester city centre is a 23-storey Grade A office development, built as part of the Arndale.

It can be accessed from either Exchange Square or the shopping centre via Market Street and provides high quality accommodation in excess of 200,000sq ft with unparalleled views over the city.

With direct access to Manchester Arndale, one of Europe’s largest inner city shopping centres at more than 1.4 million sq ft of retail, other tenants include Sainsbury’s and Premier Foods.

Elise Buchanan, director: asset management at M&G Real Estate, said: “Manchester is one of the UK’s leading commercial centres and its significance for businesses traditionally located in London is seeing unprecedented growth.

“Arndale House provides the right environment for any business looking to capitalise on Manchester’s prosperity, given its core city centre location and unrivalled transport links. We expect this deal to be the first of other high profile lettings at Arndale House in 2015.”

TSG Property Consultants is the retained agents for M&G Real Estate and intu on Arndale House. Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer were represented by Knight Frank.
