Law firm celebrates 35th birthday with SME event

LAW firm Berg has celebrated its 35th anniversary by joining forces with Manchester Business School for an exclusive finance and society panel debate.

Manchester-based Berg’s managing partner Alison Loveday joined fellow panellists Ismail Erturk, a senior lecture at MBS, and Metro Bank founder and chairman Vernon Hill to tackle the subject of alternative finance for SMEs.

Berg has recently become the first professional services firm in the North to switch its own banking facilities to Metro Bank, having successfully helped clients refinance with the bank.

Alison Loveday, said: “Metro Bank shares our passion for championing and supporting independent businesses, which is why we choose to entrust it with our own finances.

“Its participation in the Manchester Business School panel debate was extremely valuable, and we look forward to working closely with Metro on behalf of our clients in the future.”

Meanwhile, the company’s senior partner Reuben Berg has been busy raising awareness and money for a The Francis House Children’s Hospice for youngsters with terminal illnesses.
