Engineering firm in £5m alliance with bio products firm

EAST Manchester-based process engineering design consultant Haden Freeman has announced a three-year £5m deal with Bio Products Laboratory, a producer of human plasma products for engineering consultancy services.

The alliance with the Elstree firm, which will be managed and implemented by Haden Freeman’s Denton team, includes process studies on infrastructure projects to complement BPL’s current software support.

Haden Freeman managing director Wayne Baxter said: “We’ve enjoyed a very long term relationship with BPL over many years and this alliance covers a variety of exciting projects.”

Engineering Director of BPL Steve Price added: “We opened our £60m manufacturing facility in 1987 to provide self-sufficiency for plasma products for England and Wales.
