Record first half for TheBusinessDesk.com

THEBUSINESSDESK.COM achieved record traffic to its websites in the first half of 2015 as page views increased by nearly 500,000.

3.91m pages were read in the six-month period, a 14% increase on 2014. The rate of growth has accelerated with June showing a rise of 25%.

The increase in page views is being driven by improvements in audience growth and audience engagement.

TheBusinessDesk.com, which provides regional business news in the North West, West Midlands and Yorkshire, saw its number of monthly unique users increase by an average of 11% in each region.

In the North West, a strong quarter two pushed traffic above 1.4m page views as visitors increased the average number of pages read. Among the most popular articles in the first half was the demise of Carcraft , the sale of Bredbury Hall and EY’s hire of two corporate partners from Addleshaw Goddard .
