Recruiter builds for future with funding boost

A SPECIALIST recruiter which supplies the construction sector and is supporting the expansion of the London Underground, has secured a £4m funding facility.

Manchester-based Minstrell Recruitment has agreed an invoice discounting line with Allied Irish Bank to support its expansion plans.

Minstrell, headquartered on George Leigh Street has revenues of £17.2m in the year to the end of August 2014.

It has a strong presence in Manchester, working closely with the transport and infrastructure industry, while in London, it has played a key role in many large projects, most recently being a preferred supplier for personnel on the London Tube enhancement works.

Managing director Andy Parish said: “Minstrell has grown significantly over the past two years and we now operate across different sectors throughout the UK.

“With offices in Manchester and London we have recently done a push to recruit expert staff with an engineering background that will support our clients, particularly those in the automation and FMCG markets.

“In order to continue to gain market share Minstrell needed a funder who could work with us to create a platform for sustainable growth and I am grateful for the support AIB (GB) have shown us.”

James Chetwood, relationship manager at AIB(GB)’s Manchester business centre, added: “We are pleased to be able to support Minstrell and help them grow their business. We worked closely with the management team to find the right funding solution to help them expand their operations in the UK and we look forward to working with them at this exciting time in the company’s life.”
