Appointments: Sedulo; Bilfinger GVA; Construction Linx & more

MANCHESTER-based accountant and wealth manager practice Sedulo has swooped to recruit Chloe Mason from Barclays Bank to add to its growing financial services arm.

The company founded in 2009 added the financial services offering in 2013 and now employs 25 staff in the Deansgate Lock area of the city, providing holistic advice to a number of companies in the fashion, digital, media and technology sectors in particular.

Mason has a wealth of experience and is particularly well known advising clients in and around the Preston, Chorley, Bolton areas of the North West.

She began her career at RBS and did almost 12 years there predominantly as Corporate Specialist Financial Advice Manager before moving to Barclays as a Corporate wealth adviser.

Sedulo Group managing director Paul Cheetham says; “Bringing Chloe in is a big step forward for the division.

BILFINGER GVA has strengthened its lease consultancy team in Manchester with the appointment of Jonathan Powers as senior surveyor.

With more than nine years’ experience in the commercial property industry, Powers joins the four-strong team.

He will be responsible for rent reviews, lease renewals and lease restructures.  Jonathon will also be acting on behalf of some of Bilfinger GVA’s retained clients including First Choice Holidays and the Ministry of Justice.

Powers, who previously worked for IDH Group and Tameside Council, has extensive experience in property management, landlord and tenant and corporate real estate.

He said: “I am thrilled to be joining Bilfinger GVA. The team has a remarkable reputation both regionally and nationally, with a range of high profile clients. I am looking forward to my future within the firm.”

CREWE-based construction and property maintenance firm Construction Linx has celebrated its 10th anniversary by recruiting two new members of staff in its marketing department.
 
James Rose is the new account manager and Eoin Walsh is the company’s new marketing assistant.
 
Managing director Gareth Williams said: “This latest recruitment signifies the fact we’re growing as a business, which is especially rewarding because 2015 is the company’s 10th

SAM Hall, a partner at Manchester law firm JMW has been unveiled as chairman of future pro-manchester which represents the region’s young professionals.
 
He moves from the position of vice chair having risen through the ranks of the future pro-manchester committee and is also a board member of pro-manchester the business development organisation for the North West.
 
He is joined at the helm by another Sam, managing director of Tunafish Media Sam Jones.

Together they will work on projects including The Made in Manchester Awards which returns in February 2016 for a fifth consecutive year plus a range of business focused activities designed to help young professionals develop new skills, build relationships and network with like-minded people.
