Directors by assets of stricken IT firm

BOSSES of £32m turnover IT company Compudal have bought its assets out of administration, saving all 17 of its jobs and relaunching the firm as Nurvo Ltd.

The Trafford Park based company which suffered losses as a result of the  failure of Phones 4 went into administration on July 22. Chris Ratten and Jeremy Woodside based at Baker Tilly Restructuring and Recovery were named as joint administrators.

A statement from Baker Tilly said: “Mr Ratten and Mr Woodside  were appointed as Joint Administrators of Compudal Limited on 22nd July 2015. Following the appointment the business, assets and name of the company were sold to Nurvo Ltd.

“Nurvo is a business under common control of the previous directors of the company. The sale of the company has retained the jobs of all 17 members of staff and the business will now trade from the premises in Trafford Park.”

Compudal enjoyed pre-tax profits of £296,772 and a turnover of £32.3m according to accounts for the year ending January 31.

It started trading in 2008, distributing IT and consumer electronics products such as Sony PlayStations, digital cameras and Blu-ray players to large corporate organisations and retailers in the UK and Europe.
