Online health food firm more than doubles headcount

ONLINE retailer Healthy Foods Online is to increase its workforce, creating 40 new jobs at its headquarters in Gillmoss, North Liverpool.

The company, specialising in free from, organic and whole foods has seen steady growth since its inception two years ago.

This period of expansion, coupled with an injection of funding from Liverpool City Council’s Regional Growth Funding programme will allow the company to more than double its workforce over the next 12 months.

Sales and marketing manager Michael Craven oversaw the funding application and said “The RGF funding will allow Healthy Foods Online to realise significant growth in a short period of time.

“We’ve had a fantastic 2015 so far and due to this expansion we are now able to offer positions in a wide variety of areas in the business.”

Currently, the eCommerce company employs around 30 full time staff, in warehousing, purchasing, marketing, logistics and IT and it is now looking to start its recruitment drive by employing a full time Warehouse Manager.

Craven added: “Liverpool has always been a place where we could find and develop a skilled workforce. Last year we were voted “Employer of the Year” by the Chamber of Commerce and this year we are looking to build on that by offering new and exciting careers in many areas of the business.”
