Gino D’Acampo to open restaurant at Corn Exchange

TV CHEF Gino D’Acampo has teamed up with Individual Restaurants founder Steven Walker to launch casual dining restaurant brand Gino D’Acampo – My Restaurant.

Gino has invested in Individual Restaurants and its food academy, which includes its own butchers shop and bakery, to ensure everything is made in house rather than buying in items like, artisan breads and patisserie.
Individual Restaurants operates 22 Piccolino restaurants across the country, with a turnover exceeding £38m and a restaurant profit of £8m. Individual restauarants also owns The Restaurant Bar & Grill, Bank Restaurant & Bar, Q Grill and Vintage Salt.
The Manchester restaurant at the Corn Exchange will seat 250 guests and offer a sit at cicchetti and kitchen bar, with the addition of two large outside areas, one of which leads onto the bustling Exchange Square, facing Selfridges.
Gino said: “I have been approached many times over the years to open restaurants, but it was Steven’s passion for Italian cucina, his eye for detail and his insistence that he would only partner me if I were truly involved, that attracted me finally to take the plunge.
“I’m excited to be creating the new menus for the restaurant and I’m going to be including lots of favourites from my books and TV programmes.”
The restaurant brand will also be opening in Euston train station, London, and more UK sites will follow, as well as international locations.
