Kalibrate wins Morrisons petrol deal

MANCHESTER-headquartered Kalibrate Technologies has secured a software-as-a-service (SaaS) contract with retailer Morrisons.

Kalibrate, which provides technology services to fuel retailers around the world, has won the contract to support Morrisons’ automated petrol stations with its software.

Under the terms of the contract Kalibrate’s SaaS will manage Morrisons’ fuel prices and demand on a real-time basis across its 336 UK petrol filling stations.

Kalibrate’s software allows clients to access its products and services in a cloud environment and is fully mobile enabled via desktops, tablets or smart mobile devices. It says that this allows the fuel retail industry to make faster, more confident decisions.

“Customers keep telling us that price is the biggest driver of where to refuel,” said Mark Todd, Morrisons’ petrol category director.

“This decision is consistent with our commitment to ensure that price is never a reason that a customer would choose to shop elsewhere. It’s a matter of trust and the Kalibrate Pricing Cloud gives us the ability to continue to do that at our petrol stations.”

Kalibrate chief executive Bob Stein said: “We are very pleased to have been awarded this SaaS contract by Morrisons, a leading UK grocer and petrol retailer. Our Kalibrate Pricing Cloud will provide Morrisons with enhanced accuracy, consistency, speed of execution and intelligence.”
