United heading into New Era

MANCHESTER United has announced a “multi-year partnership” with international lifestyle brand, New Era.
 
The partnership will see the long-standing US firm New Era produce dual-branded leisure headwear. Financial tersm of the deal were not disclosed.
 
New Era’s heritage lies within the world of sport. Established in the US in 1930, the company is best known for being the on-field cap supplier for Major League Baseball, an accolade it has held for 81 years.
 
New Era’s flagship product is the 59FIFTY fitted cap, however the Manchester United product range will include different headwear styles, including caps, baseball caps, visors, hats, bobble hats and beanies.
 
Manchester United’s managing director, Richard Arnold said: “Manchester United’s success is built on the support of its fans. Throughout history, our supporters have pledged their allegiance to United by wearing the club crest and we are delighted to be partnering with New Era to bring fans a fresh approach to the branded headwear available to them.
 
“With over 90 years in the industry, New Era is the leading creator of leisure headwear, producing quality products for sports fans all over the world and we are excited to be introducing its products to our loyal fanbase.”

New Era is headquartered in Buffalo, New York and operates facilities in Alabama, Canada, Europe, Japan and Hong Kong.
